Procuring GIS solutions with Buying Solutions

As a leading supplier of GIS solutions and services, Innogistic have been awarded a place on the Buying Solutions GISS Framework Agreement.

Buying Solutions is an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce, which is itself a department of the Treasury. It provides a professional procurement service for the public sector and delivers improved value for money in their procurement and commercial activities.  The Agency also provides professional support when it matters, advising on technical issues, energy saving and environmental improvements.

Buying Solutions has put in place a set of EU Compliant framework agreements designed to streamline public sector procurement. These framework agreements provide a pre-qualified choice of suppliers with expertise in particular areas – such as GIS. The framework agreements were created through a competitive tender process which ensures that only suppliers offering value for money have been awarded a place on any framework agreement. The pre-qualified nature of the agreements mean that large savings can be made in time and resource by removing this element of the tender process.

Who can use Buying Solutions

Buying Solutions' remit extends across the whole spectrum of government and the public sector, comprising central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence, utilities and not for profit sectors. It also extends to devolved administrations and the local government, health, education and emergency services in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The framework runs until 13th December, 2011.
