PAI contract at Yorkshire Water awarded to Innogistic
17 January 2007
Following the completion of a successful feasibility study, Yorkshire Water have awarded a contract to Innogistic for their Positional Accuracy Improvement (PAI) programme. Using a combination of Innogistic's GeoFix and OpenWINGS systems, the PAI strategy combines automated transformation methods, with subsequent manual quality assurance (QA).
During the feasibility study, Innogistic demonstrated that all 12,000 tiles of Yorkshire Water's asset data could be transformed in one go with excellent results. Further enhancements to the system have been agreed for the full implementation, including the transformation of complex annotations, and the development of further quality assurance tools within Yorkshire Water's Corporate GIS.
The contract which takes place with immediate effect is due for completion in June. The final iteration for the live transformation is expected to be conducted in under one week.
