Innogistic win Yorkshire Water Business Excellence Award for second year running
04 August 2008
In recognition of its approach to partnership working, Innogistic have received a Business Excellence Award from Yorkshire Water. The award, which recognised Innogistic’s innovative work on Yorkshire Water’s Positional Accuracy Improvement (PAI) programme, was in the partners category of the business award scheme.
The project for which the award was received, involved the positional improvement of Yorkshire Water’s asset database – which contains over 7 million records. Innogistic used advanced automated correction software to apply the improvements to the database. A quality assurance team at Yorkshire Water subsequently checked the improvements using software tools supplied by Innogistic. The entire programme was completed in 13 days.
Speaking of the award, Yorkshire Water’s GIS Technical Lead, Mark Walpole, comments:
“Innogistic played a key part in the success of this project delivering an innovative solution, exceeding expectations with the accuracy of the results and delivery timescales. The project has been recognised as an outstanding example of a class leading partnership. This collaboration beat off stiff competition against a significant number of support unit entries and will be pitted against the Water and Environmental Business unit class winners in an additional showdown later in the year.”
In reference to Innogistic’s receipt of a similar award for service excellence in the previous year, Walpole continues:
“To get two class winners is a real achievement - but to get them back to back is very rare indeed.”
