Gazetteer Special Interest Group (SIG) gets ready for BS7666:2006

Innogistic's Gazetteer Special Interest group convened on the 22nd or March to discuss the impact of the BS7666:2006 standards revision, on their business processes, and discuss the requirements for the next FastGAZETTEER release.

Richard Townsend, Government Business Manager at Innogistic commented on the SIG:

"The Special Interest Groups which Innogistic hold in conjunction with our customer base are important forum for planning future product releases. The revisions to the BS7666 standard are significant, in terms of how data from Local Land and Property Gazetteers are uploaded to the NLPG hub. It is essential that our software delivers against our customer expectations, and the SIG's ensure that the expectations of all the customer base are discussed openly."

The amendments to the software are planned for the next release of FastGAZETTEER due out in the summer.
